Relinquishing the Fear of Joy
It seems like a contrary statement and yet just as we are afraid of success, because it could catapult us into recognition and the limelight; where we can be seen and taken note of by others. We seem to fear feeling Joy because at the same time our Ego says it wants to protect us from sorrow, as if that makes any sense. Through this we see exactly how crazy and convoluted our rationalizations can be when directed by the Ego.
How can we dispel this convolution? By actually, allowing ourselves to experience Joy, of course. Today, create the experiment in your life by expressing and doing something that you are passionate about, something you love to do and that when you’re immersed in it - time seems to fly.
At the end of the day, sit back and ponder on how you felt while doing what you loved. Was it peaceful, was it focused, did you lose track of time, and did time seem not to exist at all?
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Then you have disproved your hypothesis that by excluding Joy you prevent sorrow. You are in the process of dispelling an erroneous belief. To the contrary you have seen and felt that by experiencing Joy you have increased love, peace and harmony within your life.
Make it a practice - schedule time in your calendar for activities which are happy, joyous and soon the doors to opportunity, love, relationships and prosperity will start to open magically for you.
